At 0228 Water Witch was alerted for an engine transfer to Station 8 Rising Sun while their units were operating on a working house fire in the 823 box. As Engine 72 was pulling onto the ramp, Dispatch advised them now to report to the scene. Upon arriving Engine 72 was instructed to make access to the attic and check for extension. Once in the attic the crew helped Truck 8 (who was working from the stick) open up the ridge vent. When the ridge vent was opened Engine 72’s crew overhauled the attic. The Engine was on the scene for approximately 45 min before returning to service.
